Description:
In a grand but decaying Tehran mansion, middle-aged siblings Kamran and Moluk struggle to make ends meet by selling furniture. Their lives are upended by the sudden death of their brother, who left the house to his widow, Forugh, who is traveling from the countryside. Desperate to inherit the property, Kamran devises a cruel plan: he writes a detailed script and hires actors to pose as household staff, intending to psychologically torment Forugh into madness and potentially suicide. The elaborate deception works, terrifying Forugh and convincing authorities that she is losing her mind. The scheme builds toward a final, unsettling act.
