Brothers of the Black List (2014)

BROTHERS OF THE BLACK LIST recounts the story behind the longest-running civil rights lawsuit in U.S. history. The case began in September 1992 when an elderly woman in Oneonta, New York, reported an attempted rape by a young Black man who injured himself during the attack. A college administrator at SUNY Oneonta then provided the police with a list of the names and addresses of 125 Black students. Police subsequently tracked down every Black man in town, questioning them and demanding they show their hands.
