Description:
From birth, Chhaya's life is marked by tragedy: her mother dies, her father loses his job, and their home burns down. Consequently, she faces isolation from other children and their parents. Raised with love by her father, she is arranged to marry a suitable young man whose family approves. However, upon learning of Chhaya’s past, the family rejects her, leading to her father's death. Chhaya then moves in with her friend Leela Lal, and Leela's family. There, Leela and Chhaya meet Prakash, an airline pilot, and develop a mutual affection. When Prakash takes Chhaya to meet his mother, she discovers it is the very woman who had previously rejected her and leaves abruptly before any introduction can take place.
