Description:
The film centers on a village hospital established by Choudhury Ramprasad (Ashok Kumar), who is also a patient there. He shares the hospital with Isamil (Iftekhar), Dayaram (Anwar Hussain), Ratan (Jalal Agha), and Dr. Sunil (Sunil Dutt). A singer (Deb Mukherji) is among the patients, and he is in love with Shyama (Farida Jalal), a hospital worker. The arrival of Meeta Sharma (Waheeda Rehman), who seeks admission for her son, brings a rekindled romance with Dr. Sunil. Meanwhile, an election is taking place in the village, initially calm but disrupted by Ramprasad's son (Ramesh Deo). Supporting roles include the Jagirdar, Chand Usmani, and Jankidas.
