Description:
Sparky Smith (Joe Mantegna) was fired from his job as manager of the Seattle Mariners after a disagreement with the team's owner (Michael Lerner). Now looking for a new opportunity, Sparky is turned down by every team he approaches until Tanya (Natalya Negoda) from the Russian Sports Ministry seeks him out. They need him to coach their Olympic baseball team, and Sparky accepts. However, he soon discovers the team consists of athletes from other sports who are unfamiliar with baseball. A series of comedic events unfold when Sparky is asked to arrange a visit to the United States and a game against his former team, the Mariners.
