Description:
Macau, once a Portuguese settlement in China, has transformed into a booming gambling hub, often called 'Asia's Las Vegas.' This small city, with a population of 500,000, is undergoing significant social and economic shifts. In 2007, it welcomed over 27 million tourists, a number comparable to its neighbor, Hong Kong. Miri, a modern Macau Chinese woman who studied abroad, returns home and begins working locally. During her first walk through the old part of town since arriving, she hears unusual music. This music guides Miri on a journey of rediscovery, revealing one of the many stories hidden within the city's historic streets.
