Description:
Sunil supports his widowed mother and two school-aged siblings, Anu and Tikku, while living a modest life. He marries Lakshmi, who soon becomes pregnant. After Anu graduates, the family makes sacrifices so she can attend college. During Diwali, Lakshmi falls and is hospitalized, resulting in a miscarriage and the inability to conceive. Sunil hides this from his family, eventually telling his mother. Lakshmi asks him to remarry, but he refuses. Later, Tikku is sent to stay with his maternal uncle for a few days. Soon after, the family faces three crises: Anu's plan to elope with a wealthy college student, a death, and a theft.
