Description:
Around Christmas, Dresden lawyer Julius Weimann anticipates the return of his daughter Julia, who has spent a year in the USA. He meets her at the airport with her godfather, Harald Mauthe, and is struck by how much she's grown. To his surprise, Julia brings back her boyfriend, Thomas Berner, a Dresden event manager fifteen years her senior, whom she plans to marry for Christmas. When Julia discovers her father has hired a private investigator to monitor Thomas, it strains their relationship. Julius eventually accepts his future son-in-law, and the two men become friends after resolving a misunderstanding. However, Julia ultimately ends the relationship with Thomas.
