Description:
The film's simple title reflects its central theme: remaining grounded in everyday life. It follows Maria José and Norberto, a married couple of 35 years living in the suburbs of Belo Horizonte. Their marriage is struggling, prompting their two sons to question their own futures with their wives. The story is deliberately ordinary. How does one portray such subtle changes within the routine of daily life, amplified by a crisis? Director André Novais Oliveira filmed his own family – his parents, brother, and himself – allowing time for situations to develop through long takes. He uses wide shots to emphasize seemingly mundane moments: eating, cooking, watching television.
