Description:
This film follows Benny Moré during the early 1950s as he leaves the Duany orchestra to form his own band, the 'Banda Gigante'. Flashbacks reveal his earlier triumphs in Mexico. Moré becomes entangled in the political turmoil surrounding Batista's coup in Cuba and later faces trouble in Venezuela with a spiteful businessman during a tour. After a health scare requiring hospitalization, Moré decides to give up alcohol. Years later, he reunites with his former bandmate Monchy, who is struggling.
