Description:
In Vietnam, around 1967/68, a unit of Australian SAS soldiers confronts the harsh realities of war. Their experiences range from the monotonous routine of camp life and lengthy patrols, to the often fruitless nature of raids and ambushes, and the constant fear of mortar attacks from an unseen foe. The soldiers witness death and injury in firefights and from booby traps, engaging with the enemy while gathering intelligence and reclaiming territory only to lose it again, all while navigating the frustrations of military bureaucracy. Ultimately, they return home profoundly changed by their experiences, yet relieved to be back in the life they once knew.
