Nakhakshathangal (1986)

Ramu (Vineeth), a 16-year-old boy, endures a difficult life under the harsh care of his uncle. During a pilgrimage to Guruvayoor with his uncle (Thilakan), Ramu meets Gouri (Monisha), a 15-year-old girl traveling with her grandmother. They fall in love, sharing brief, sweet moments before parting without realizing they'll meet again. Back home, Ramu escapes his uncle and finds refuge with his neighbor Namboothiri (P Jayachandran) in the city. Fate brings Ramu and Gouri together once more. Impressed by Ramu’s good character and intelligence, a lawyer offers him a position in his household, where Gouri works as a maid. The lawyer's deaf and mute daughter, Lakshmi (Saleema), develops feelings for Ramu, and the lawyer arranges their marriage without consulting Ramu. This love triangle ultimately leads to a tragic conclusion.
