Description:
Herschel Island, a remote outpost off the Yukon coast, was once a vital hunting ground for the Inuvialuit people. Now, it exists as a forgotten place, seemingly untouched by time. It's here that a young Inuvialuit boy named Nuligak (later known as Bob Cockney) grew up. He was drawn to Herschel but also wary of the changes brought by outsiders. Through Nuligak’s life, as revealed in his writings and remembered by his descendants, we gain a rare perspective on a difficult past and a possible path forward.
