Description:
At Heathrow Airport, a man is brutally murdered in a restroom. Peggy Foster worries about her boyfriend Michael, a photographer who has been away in Vietnam for months. To make ends meet, she rents out her attic apartment to a mysterious man named John Kirk Lawford, who wears sunglasses inside and behaves strangely. A phone call supposedly from Michael leads Peggy to an abandoned airfield, where she is shot at by a sniper. Returning to her building, she discovers a man has seemingly committed suicide by jumping from her balcony. As police question Peggy, a stranger appears claiming to be John Kirk Lawford. The situation darkens further when Shirley, the secretary to Peggy's publisher, is killed by an intruder wearing black gloves.
