Description:
This is the true story of Modris, a 17-year-old navigating school, a girlfriend, and friends. He struggles with a small gambling problem, straining his relationship with his mother. Their difficult dynamic is compounded by the constant reminders of his father's imprisonment and his mother’s belief that he inherited a flawed nature. The situation escalates when Modris pawns his mother’s electric heater to gamble, leading to her reporting him to the police. He receives a two-year probation sentence, launching him into a series of encounters with the Latvian justice system. Driven by this experience, Modris sets out on a new path: to find the father he's never known.
