Description:
Luciano Serra, a decorated WWI pilot, struggles with post-war life and moves to America to fly. In the 1930s, his son in Italy dreams of becoming a pilot. Luciano takes a risky job flying from Rio to Rome arranged by a shady agent. The plane crashes in the Atlantic, and Luciano is presumed lost. However, he's secretly joined the Italian army and is fighting in Ethiopia under a false identity. His unit's train is ambushed, and his son is shot down and wounded while on a reconnaissance mission by the same attackers. Can Luciano fly the plane back to provide crucial air support for the beleaguered Italian troops?
