My One and Onlies (2006)

This film adapts Tamás Beregi's novel "Egyetleneim." It shifts between a humorous depiction of a lonely office worker's unsuccessful attempts at romance – observing women from his window, sending countless letters, and facing repeated rejection – and a bittersweet story of a young couple who fall in love at the Sziget Festival and find refuge in Kopaszi-gát. Their passionate defiance of society gradually turns destructive, leading to the protagonist's painful realization that the woman he pushed away was the one he truly loved.
