Description:
An adaptation of Oleksandr Dovzhenko's novel, the film explores the early life of the renowned Ukrainian filmmaker, born in the Chernihiv region along the Desna River. The story unfolds in two parts: the first depicts the world as seen through the eyes of six-year-old Sashko. The second part features an elderly Colonel Sashko reflecting on his past while liberating his childhood village during wartime.
