Berto harbors a secret love for his neighbor Melanie, who actively dislikes him due to his unwanted attention. Berto's son is approved for a move to the US, and Melanie also receives a work visa to teach abroad. Berto's friend Robin also gets a ticket, so they travel together. Melanie consistently finds Berto's presence irritating, especially his habit of observing her. However, during a specific incident, Berto and Robin intervene to protect Melanie from sexual harassment. This event causes Melanie to see Berto in a new light. Facing a situation that could send Melanie home and endanger Berto’s grandson, they grow closer.
