Description:
The film centers on a young woman who comes of age after the 1956 Hungarian uprising, shaped by the events surrounding it. Raised within the Communist intellectual class, she witnesses contrasting responses from her family and friends. Her relationship with a married factory manager, who aids the revolutionaries and later supports a workers' strike, becomes a central element. However, her sister and others grapple with the trauma of being displaced during the revolution, harboring lasting resentment towards those who fought. Ultimately, they confront the harsh reality that true life remains unattainable following the revolt's violent suppression by Soviet forces and their allies.
