Description:
Nandagopan (Mohanlal) is a highly respected dance teacher at the Kerala Kala Mandiram, a renowned center for Kerala's traditional performing arts. The suicide of his wife, Sumangala (Parvathi), devastates him, leading to alcoholism and a disregard for rules. Suspected of her death, he's suspended from his job after an incident of drunken misconduct. The institute's new secretary, Velayudhan (Nedumudi Venu), seeks his dismissal, but Nandagopan's past reputation offers some protection. He trains his gifted student Malavika (Monisha) for a performance in his ambitious composition, Sita Kalyanam, but she is targeted by her jealous lover, Soman (Vineeth), who poisons him.
