Description:
Ríša, a law student, prioritizes partying over his studies, leading to mounting debts and his father's withdrawal of financial support. Hoping for a fresh start, he seeks refuge with his uncle, a priest, in Moravia, intending to focus on his exams. At a village ball, he is captivated by Helenka, the shy daughter of the gamekeeper. Their idyllic romance begins to wane as Ríša reveals details of his past recklessness and heartbreak to her. Hurt and disillusioned, Helenka ends their relationship. His uncle, angered by Ríša's behavior, dismisses him from his home. Determined to win Helenka back, Ríša desperately searches for her.
