Salon (2005)

Luna, a confident woman running her beauty salon in Kuala Lumpur, is content with her life – her business, her friends, and her cousin Zora. The only uncertainty is her upcoming marriage to Zyhan, a successful businessman who offers stability but little excitement. Meanwhile, in a less glamorous part of KL, Ezra believes he's found his perfect match in Emma, his office receptionist. However, Emma harbors a secret that could jeopardize their relationship. Luna and Ezra meet and connect over their perspectives on life and love. Amidst the salon's clientele, we see how everyone carries hidden stories. The film explores the complexities of love, suggesting that true connection runs deeper than appearances and that what works for one person may not work for another. Love is ultimately about more than just surface beauty.
