Description:
Set in the early 1950s, the film introduces Sreedharan, a prominent communist leader and labor activist. He is forced into hiding after being implicated in the murder of a tile factory owner. His party declares him dead and builds a memorial in his honor. Almost a decade later, following political shifts in Kerala and a split within the Communist Party of India, he unexpectedly reappears. He initially isolates himself, drinking and sleeping. His return puzzles and then embarrasses his former colleagues and family. As disappointment grows at his changed appearance, he is murdered. The film concludes with both communist parties jointly commemorating his death as a martyrdom.
