Ordinary Boys (2008)

Ordinary Boys follows the lives of three young men in Jaama Mezwak, a poor neighborhood in Tetouan, Morocco – the hometown of five of the Madrid train bombers in 2004. Khader faces a difficult choice between pursuing his acting aspirations and becoming an illegal immigrant in Europe to alleviate his family's debts. Rabia, a strong-willed woman with deep religious convictions, strives to open a clothing store while awaiting her boyfriend's return. Youssef, recently released from prison, searches for his missing brother. The film offers an intimate look at their struggles and hopes, providing a firsthand perspective on life within a marginalized Muslim community.
