Description:
Mr. Park works tirelessly repairing charcoal pits to support his family. Though often stubborn and seemingly oblivious, he possesses a kind nature. He disapproves of his eldest daughter, Yong-sun, for being close to Jae-cheon, whom he considers a troublemaker. He's also unhappy about his second daughter, Myeong-sun's, affection for Ju-sik. Only his eldest son, Yong-beom, truly earns his approval, particularly because of Yong-beom’s wife, Jeom-rye. When Yong-beom is offered a job overseas, Mr. Park is hesitant at first but ultimately sees it as a step towards his son's future. He gradually comes to accept and approve of both of his daughters' relationships.
