Description:
In 1883, a small Romanian town is controlled by a corrupt ruling class that dictates everything, including the selection of their Senate representative. A love letter from the bachelor mayor to the wife of the local party chief is accidentally discovered by a drunken supporter and ends up in the hands of the opposition. They use the letter to blackmail the powerful local elite, aiming to install their own candidate. The consequences are unpredictable.
