Description:
In Shiraz, Dash Akol is admired as an honest man who lost his family's wealth assisting others. He has a rival in Kaka Rostam, a cruel and malicious individual. Dash Akol, in his forties, finds himself falling for Marjan, the daughter of the recently deceased Haji Samad, for whose estate he is responsible. He keeps his feelings hidden. When a suitor proposes to Marjan, Dash Akol struggles with his honor, feeling obligated to accept. On the wedding night, he transfers control of the family affairs to the groom. As he departs, Kaka Rostam confronts him, leading to a violent fight. Rostam stabs Dash Akol, but he manages to kill his attacker. Dying, Dash Akol sends his parrot to Marjan with a declaration of love he had taught it.
