Description:
This French character study centers on Abel Vichac, a middle-aged college professor and author struggling with a mid-life crisis. Despite his success, he is deeply depressed and barely functioning, plagued by sleepless nights, distraction, irresponsibility, and moodiness. He neglects Aliette, his live-in lover of ten years. His day is filled with awkward encounters: a confrontation with a student in a café, followed by an introduction to Catherine, who claims to be a fan. Abel seeks her out at her apartment, where he meets her roommate Aurore and Bruno, her jealous boyfriend, leading to a tense situation. On his way home, he unexpectedly runs into Olga, his brother's former lover, further adding to the discomfort.
