Description:
In this uninspired drama by Gérard Vergez, set during World War I, a beautiful doctor named Marie (Marlene Jobert) captures the romantic attention of two brothers. The brothers meet her while she's working in Turkey – one is stationed there, and the other becomes her ambulance driver. Still grieving the loss of her husband in battle, Marie initially resists any new relationship but eventually begins an affair with the older brother. Jealousy develops, leading the brothers to compete for her affection. Marie is eventually separated from them after the older brother is released from prison following accusations of aiding the Russians. Later, Marie herself is imprisoned, and it will take a long time for her to learn what happened to the two brothers and others she knew during the war.
