Nicht ohne meinen Schwiegervater (2005)

Psychotherapist Ulf Weiß and his girlfriend Sarah Gievenbeck are planning their wedding. They spend a weekend at Sarah's parents' home, where Sarah's father, Heinrich Gievenbeck – a meticulous judge – closely monitors his daughter's life. He intends to assess whether Ulf is a suitable partner for her. The weekend begins with Ulf and Sarah sleeping in separate rooms, and the following morning, Heinrich asks Ulf to join him hunting at dawn. Ulf agrees, but in a tragic accident, he mistakenly shoots Heinrich's cherished dog instead of the deer.
