Description:
This deeply moving drama follows a young man in Tehran, training to be a mullah, as he navigates the challenges of caring for his sick wife and children. The film offers a relatable portrayal of Iran's clergy, depicting a man who, through hardship, is compelled to become a devoted husband and father. Newly arrived in Tehran to study the Koran, Seyed Reza depends on his wife Zahra to manage their two young children and their livelihood from weaving rugs. Their lives are upended when Zahra collapses and is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Struggling to cope with the tragedy, Seyed finds himself juggling household duties, childcare, and his studies, facing scorn from his peers. Ultimately, Seyed discovers a deeper meaning in his faith as he embraces the demanding work of rug weaving, persevering through immense difficulty.
