Description:
1865. At a ball in Moscow, Katharina unexpectedly encounters Tchaikowsky, her first and only love. Now married to the wealthy but unloved Michael Iwanowitsch Murakin, the young woman has never forgotten the (as yet) unknown composer. Both remain deeply in love, yet Piotr is engaged to Nastassia, a dancer, while Katharina is bound by her marriage. To ensure Tchaikowsky's success, she makes the selfless decision to secretly sponsor him. This is a truth he will only discover years later. When Katharina finally finds herself free, it’s too late: Tchaikowsky is dying of cholera and she only has time to close his eyes.
