Description:
Hugo Claus adapted and directed his 1969 play "Friday" into a film. The story centers on Georges (Frank Aendenboom), who returns home after serving time for incest. Unlike the play, the film focuses less on this crime. Upon his return, Georges discovers his wife Jeanne (Kitty Courbois) has had a child with a younger man, Erik (Herbert Flack). The film follows their attempts to rebuild their lives after these moral failures, complicated by Erik's reappearance. The husband and wife struggle to reconcile while confronting the emotional conflicts that led them to this point of love and betrayal.
