King of Herrings (2014)

This black and white film follows four aimless men in New Orleans, who pursue grand ambitions amidst a world of gambling, relationships, and coffee. Their impulsive actions and arguments are often funny, sometimes moving, occasionally absurd, and deeply sad. Ditch, the group's self-proclaimed leader, is a hot-tempered man with a strong ego, and his friends admire him for it. But when he crosses a respected professor, a series of escalating threats, displays of power, and romantic advances lead them down a darkly humorous path.
