Description:
Mangal, known as "Hero" to his friends, is a Mumbai taxi driver who spends his days working and his nights drinking, listening to his singer girlfriend Sylive, and waking up with a hangover. While helping another driver, he rescues a woman from two thugs. He tries to take her to her destination, but discovers the person she seeks has moved. The next day, Mangal and the young woman, Mala, search for a music director named Ratanlal, but their efforts are unsuccessful. Mala lives with Mangal in his small apartment, and they develop feelings for each other. When Mala learns about Sylive, she leaves him. Mangal searches for her and discovers she has become a famous singer with the help of her music director friend.
