June 12, 2013, Huntsville, Texas: At Huntsville State Penitentiary, preparations are made for execution #499. Elroy Chester will be executed by lethal injection for the rape of Erin and Claire DeLeon and the murder of their uncle, fireman Billy Ryman. *Killing Time* reconstructs the original murder and depicts the impact on the victims' families and those involved during the final hours before the execution. The victims’ families, the prison guards, the clergy, the reporters, and a few protestors each experience the last hours of Elroy Chester's life in their own way. Some seek closure, while others face oblivion.
