Description:
Frank, a country man, witnesses a gangland shooting and ends up driving the injured to the mob's hideout. He quickly gains favor with Erik and joins the organization. The syndicate boss, Big John, wants to unite Chicago's four gangs, but Erik refuses, preferring independence. After a failed assassination attempt, Erik is forced to reconsider his position, but his crew views it as weakness. This gives the opportunistic Frank a chance to climb the ranks, taking advantage of Erik's hesitation and winning the affection of Erik’s girlfriend, Lucie. Frank's first action is to hire professionals and attack one of Big John's casinos, effectively challenging the entire syndicate. Erik, however, is consumed by a desire for revenge.
