Description:
This film, set in the 1990s, employs dark humor to satirize the challenges facing a contemporary Japanese family. After accidentally hitting a young woman with his car, Hiroshi panics and flees the scene. He confesses to his wife, Yoko, who convinces him to remain silent, fearing arrest would destroy their already fragile family. Their daughter is having an affair, their son is being bullied and skipping school, and their grandfather is increasingly demanding. Yoko proposes moving the car into the living room to dismantle it and destroy evidence. Hiroshi ultimately decides to confess, but a series of strange events follow.
