Description:
A television series director, struggling to finish his first feature film screenplay, is assigned to oversee the setup of a television relay station in a remote area of Zahedan province. He has already hired local Turkmen and chosen the filming location for his movie. His wife, researching the Mongol invasion of Iran for her Ph.D., tries to talk him out of the assignment. While working on his show, the director imagines a world blending all his projects: film history, the Mongol invasion, his own film, and the upcoming desert assignment.
