Description:
Hasegawa is working on a sequel to his last novel, inspired by a real person who killed nine people. The new story centers on Harumi, who leaves high school and lives a secluded life, struggling to understand his brother. He fears inheriting his brother's dark nature, yet is also angered by how many writers exploit his brother’s life for fiction. Hasegawa grapples with the difficulty of portraying reality's cruelty in his writing. He learns about a murder from a witness but doubts its truth. He then meets Harumi. This unique film blends styles reminiscent of Kurosawa Kiyoshi and David Lynch. The title, A Bao A Qu, refers to a shapeless entity that takes form around those with pure hearts, as described in Indian religion and The Arabian Nights.
