A record producer, along with artists who created "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" and prominent indie rock musicians, collaborate on a tribute album to benefit the Hetrick-Martin Institute, home to the Harvey Milk School – the first accredited high school for LGBTQ+ youth. "Follow My Voice: With the Music of Hedwig" shares the moving stories of four students at this unique school alongside the year-long process of making "Wig in a Box," the album whose songs deeply reflect the teens' experiences and hopes. Using firsthand footage, student video diaries, and rare recordings of artists in the studio, "Follow My Voice" provides a powerful and touching look at the connection between youth, identity, and rock music.
