Boucherie Halal (2012)

A Muslim couple opens a butcher shop in Montreal, hoping to integrate into Quebec society. However, the butcher's father, an imam, establishes a small mosque in the shop's back room and uses it to promote his extremist beliefs. When he is arrested by the RCMP on suspicion of past terrorist activities, his son finds himself caught between his love for his wife and loyalty to his father, becoming involved in a plot to secure his release. Frustrated by her husband’s passivity towards his father's actions, the butcher's wife decides to leave and pursue a more fulfilling life outside the Muslim community.
