Description:
A woman claims to have been married to both Renzo Franchi and Carlos Gardel, Argentina’s famous tango singer. Most dismiss her as delusional, but her story is this: Buenos Aires, 1933. Juana Romero, a seamstress devoted to Gardel's music, leaves her boyfriend for Renzo, a singer who resembles the idol. She insists Renzo’s band play Gardel’s songs, leading to a Ford commercial recording when Gardel is unavailable. The trio, with Juana, embarks on a tour north, but the relationship ends. He returns home, while she tries to reach New York. Circumstances force him to impersonate Gardel again. Legend and a bracelet then become intertwined.
