Description:
In the 26th century, the citizens of Utopia have become so homogenized that individuality is rare. They live in glass houses, enabling the political police, known as Keepers, to constantly monitor them. Everyone wears the same uniform and typically addresses each other as "cipher-so" or "UNIFEM." They consume artificial food and spend their leisure hours marching in formation to the anthem of the One State, broadcast from loudspeakers. They are permitted a brief break each hour, called "sexy time," during which they can draw their curtains. The leader of the One State is called The Benefactor, who is replaced annually by the entire population, usually with unanimous consent. The governing principle of the state is that happiness and freedom are mutually exclusive.
