This 3D film project gives six distinct, iconic buildings a voice, examining human life from their unique vantage point as enduring structures. Six renowned filmmakers contribute their individual styles to the project. The buildings reveal themselves as reflections of human thought and action: the Berlin Philharmonic, a symbol of modern progress; the National Library of Russia, a repository of knowledge; Halden Prison, a model of humane incarceration; the Salk Institute, a hub for scientific discovery; the Oslo Opera House, a blend of art and life; and the Centre Pompidou, a center of modern culture. CATHEDRALS OF CULTURE explores how each landmark reflects our culture and preserves our shared history.
