Description:
In 1719, during the Nordic War, Swedish forces occupy parts of Norway. As they retreat through the Tydal mountains, many soldiers freeze to death. Some find shelter in mountain huts, where local farmers hunt them down. Sjur, a Swedish patriot, tracks Per Jons to one of these huts, seeking refuge for his daughter Eli. Eli tends to the wounded Per, and they begin a love affair that her father strongly disapproves of.
