Project 313 (2006)

Project 313 follows Parrish and Machette, friends from Detroit's tough housing projects, as they navigate the difficulties of urban life. Shortly after Machette's release from juvenile detention, he plans a quick robbery of a wealthy man leaving a local casino. For Nick Staley, a respected college professor with a family, a fortunate day at the casino turns terrifying when he is confronted by the two criminals. They rob him, kidnap him, and hold him captive in Parrish's apartment. As the thieves argue about their next steps, tensions rise, turning the friends against each other. Nick faces more than just losing his winnings; he may lose his life.
