Description:
"A Long Journey" documents the lives of three siblings as they come of age in the late 1960s. The film follows the youngest brother, Heitor, as he travels the world. His family sent him to London to avoid his involvement in the fight against the Brazilian dictatorship. There, he embraces the vibrant culture of "Swinging London," experimenting with drugs and the spirituality of India alongside his peers. Over nine years, from 1969 to 1978, Heitor regularly writes to his family about his experiences. The documentary includes contemporary interviews with Heitor, his letters, and comments from his sister, Lúcia Murat, who directed the film.
