Description:
Early in the 20th century, the Hotel Nueva Isla was a symbol of luxury. Following the Cuban Revolution, it was taken by the government and became housing for those with nowhere else to go. Now a striking ruin in Old Havana, it's home to a few remaining residents: Jorge de los Rios, a retired clerk; La Flaca, his lover; and Waldo, a young traveler. As others depart for safer locations, Jorge holds onto his decaying home and its hidden memories, carefully sifting through the rubble. The film is a moving portrait of a generation that fought in the Cuban Revolution and hoped for a brighter future.
